We provide a wide array of courses and offer everything from a class for new shooters to certification training for those wishing to become firearms instructors.

Take A Class Today!

Our GOAL is Education. We believe that safe firearms handling lessons serve as a core element of preserving the public safety. Our staff provides quality training for individuals interested in the proper use, handing and safe storage of firearms. We provide courses to new shooters, as well as certification training for those wishing to become firearms instructors. We also provide referrals to instructors around the state.

Youth Education. GOAL firmly believes that the future of our nation depends on our youth. If we don’t want our children to think of guns as toys, or worse yet, as a way to solve arguments, we must education them. Therefore, we promote the National Rifle Association’s award-winning Eddie Eagle® GunSafe program, which teaches children and important safety message. Our members and activists have been successful at getting the program into elementary schools across the state to teach the life saving message to young children. If they find a gun, “STOP! Don’t Touch! Leave the area. Tell an adult.”

Gun Owner Education. Due to the overwhelming number of local, state and federal firearms laws, GOAL is a highly respected source of information for the state’s licensed gun owners. Our popular Massachusetts Firearms Law book is currently in its eighteenth printing. We have researched and created fact sheets on subjects ranging from the licensing structure of Massachusetts gun laws to the transportation and storage requirements for gun owners in the Commonwealth. We have debuted several courses for current gun owners and sportsmen and women on intermediate topics or introductions to new shooting sports and disciplines. For the full range of these seminars, check out the training and education schedule.

Before You Carry & Defend presented by Bill Dalpe (Patriot Firearms School & Defense)

Completing a licensing course is the first step in your firearms training. Have you purchased or in the process of considering purchasing your first firearm and want to learn the fundamentals of being a responsible armed defender? Are you curious to know the correct way to safely stage and store a firearm in your home or how to carry in accordance with federal and local laws? Have you considered if carrying a firearm fits into your personal protection plan and if so, which type would suit your needs? If you answered yes to any of these questions, our Before You Carry & Defend course is the next step and will be the most critical course you will take through your firearms training journey.

Your home is your castle, and it should be the safest place for you and your family. In this course, you will learn the fundamentals in making your home and the people in it safe by reviewing the latest strategies and methodologies on developing a detailed and realistic home defense plan both with and without the need for a firearm. You will learn the many aspects to becoming a responsible armed defender: physically, mentally, morally, financially, and legally.

A firearm is the tool of absolute last resort, and no one should want to use one unless necessary to protect your family from grave bodily harm. What if you were forced to use your firearm? What are the laws of self-defense? What is the legal use of force? Our Before You Defend & Carry course answers these and many other questions surrounding a violent encounter and the aftermath to expect after the police arrive. We will cover and dispel the mistruths centered around the Castle Doctrine and duty to retreat.

By the end of this course, you will have a clear picture of how to develop and effective home defense and personal protection plan to defend your family. You will also be able to determine if a firearm fits into your plan and if yes which type will suit your personal needs.

Students will also leave with a copy of the USCCA’s Concealed Carry & Home Defense book ($50 value).
