GOAL is Heading to Federal Court - Again

When Chapter 135 became law and it was obvious we had to start going to federal court our Executive Director, Jim Wallace, told the 2A community that GOAL would not ask for money until we needed it. Well, now is that time!

Two new cases being written are to challenge the unconstitutional "Assault Style Firearms" restrictions & the Commonwealth's Licensing Regime.

GOAL is heading back to federal court to continue our fight against CHAPTER 135 and the Massachusetts gun laws in general.

Our first two cases involved the new training requirements and the long gun roster. Both were made moot by the Commonwealth temporarily suspending those new requirements. Just preparing these cases was very costly.

The new cases challenging the "Assault Style Firearms" restrictions & the Commonwealth's Licensing Regime are going to take substantial financial resources. Because we are most likely not going to get any relief from the local federal courts, we have to prepare to get them through the entire federal process. To get these cases to the Supreme court will likely require nearly $1,000,000 over the course of the next few years.
