RIVERSIDE GUN CLUB HOME FIREARM SAFETY COURSE SCHEDULE

This course teaches students the basic knowledge, skills, and explains the attitude necessary for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home. Students will receive the NRA Home Firearm Safety handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure,Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, course completion certificate.

Massachusetts LTC w/live fire (4 hour classroom, plus live fire)

Cost: $100 includes NRA Home Firearm Safety handbook and ammo.


Students are taught NRA's three rules for safe gun handling; primary causes of firearms accidents; firearm parts; how to unload certain action types; ammunition components; cleaning; care; safe storage of firearms in the home; and the benefits of becoming anactive participant in the shooting sports. At Riverside, the course includes a live fire pistol session at the end of the classroom work under the supervision of an NRA certified firearms instructors. The live fire component is expected to be required by the state beginning sometime in 2026/27.
