Mass Gun Law and Advocacy Workshop

Morning Session: Mass Gun Law for Citizens with Instructor Jon Green

This 3 ½ + hour long seminar explains state and federal laws and regulations in layperson terms. Students will explore applicable Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) and Commonwealth of Massachusetts Regulations (CMR) as they pertain to definitions, gun purchases, possession, storage, transportation, record keeping requirements, buying/selling, interstate transport, interstate purchase, ammunition storage and best practices for gun owners.

Afternoon Session: GOAL’s Advocacy Training with Executive Director Jim Wallace

Learn how to be a Second Amendment advocate:

• ·      Effective means of communicating with elected officials
• ·      Public legislative hearing process and prep
• ·      Do’s and Don’ts of social media
• ·      Dealing with the media
