what is the human response?

 A deadly force encounter is a high stress adrenalin pumping event.  Normal human processing such as hearing, seeing, cognitive functioning and more can be significantly distorted. This is true whether one is in the military, a law enforcement officer or an armed citizen forced to legally defend him/herself with a firearm.   Knowledge of these physiological and psychological effects provides for one’s  self-defense both during a deadly encounter as well as with the aftermath and legal  defense of the use of deadly force.
