MA WAR ON NON-RESIDENT GUN OWNERS CONTINUES
This case originates out of Palmer, Massachusetts and again began with a traffic stop. GOAL is not directly involved in the case. But we continue to warn non-residents about the danger of traveling in, or through, the Commonwealth with any firearm if you don’t have a license.
In this particular case the occupants of the vehicle were stated to be traveling through Massachusetts. They had left a job in Kentucky to work on a store in New Hampshire. A Ms. Harris from North Carolina was driving the vehicle, and like Kyle’s case there were issues with the registration. There were two passengers in the vehicle as well.
The vehicle had to be towed and inventoried. During inventory two handguns were discovered, one in a bag that the arrest report stated was under her direct control. Ms. Harris was subsequently arrested and taken to the House of Correction and has been charged with felonies.
The defendant is being represented by Attorney Dan Hagan:
“Danisha Harris is a hard working woman from South Carolina who was on her way to NH for employment. Now, she’s charged with felonies. What happened to Ms. Harris and others like her is an absolute disgrace for Massachusetts. My team and I will aggressively represent her and fight this total miscarriage of justice.” - Attorney Hagan
GOAL will continue to monitor the case as it proceeds.
