2A Ladies Take Center Stage

The trick was on the State House this past Halloween when the 2A ladies showed in force to tear down

Massachusetts gun laws!

On October 31st, the Massachusetts State House wasn’t filled with ghosts and goblins; it was filled with strong, informed, and fearless citizens standing up for our civil rights.

The Joint Committee on Public Safety thought they would pull a fast one and schedule a critical civil rights hearing on Halloween Friday. The hearing, on dozens of firearm-related bills, actually drew a crowd of angry "Mama Bears" and others. The Committee certainly did not expect the Second Amendment community to own the room. For the first anyone can remember, the 2A community held the room. Roughly 85% of those attending the intentionally scheduled holiday hearing, led by the ladies took the Committee members off guard. Those that testified spoke from their hearts and destroyed any premise that Chapter 135 was anything but an assault on their civil rights.

Ten incredible women testified in person, with more than a dozen preparing written testimony, sharing their experiences, their knowledge, and their unwavering understanding that the Commonwealth's gun laws only persecutes lawful citizens. That these laws had nothing to do with public safety, suicide prevention, or education.

GOAL couldn’t be more proud to see women across the Commonwealth stepping up with courage, clarity, and confidence. Many of them were first-time speakers, but you would never have known it; their words carried power, purpose, and truth.

That day was more than a hearing; it was an historic time that the Second Amendment women and community took an overwhelmingly strong stance against the State House's lies, distortions, and outright bigotry against us.

GOAL thanks and congratulates everyone, especially the ladies, who took time during their holiday to "bring it" to the tyrants on Beacon Hill.
