GOAL’s 2012 Dog Days of Summer Fundraiser.

Hello GOAL Members,

Once again summer is upon us and once again our Second Amendment civil rights are under attack. This year is no exception as the majority of our legislators whom are anti-Second Amendment continue their attack on our civil rights.

In all we are fighting at least 19 anti-Second Amendment bills. Amongst them are S.1195 filed by Senator Sonia Chang-Diaz, which if passed into law would effectively bankrupt and force every firearms retailer in Massachusetts to close their doors. Senator Cynthia Stone Creem also filed S.1202 a one gun a month bill, and Senator Petruccelli filed a bill which would have required all firearms to have a GPS tracking system!

On the house side we had Representative David Linsky continue his relentless attack on our civil rights. He filed numerous bills which include legislation which would enact a one gun a month bill, a micro-stamping bill, a bill which would make obtaining an LTC even MORE DIFFICULT, and of course a bill which would make “assault weapons” even more illegal.

Not to be outdone in the house, we had Representative Toomey filing multiple pieces of legislation which would also greatly restrict our rights. The attack is constant, and they will not rest. In addition to our legislators, we now have mysterious changes to our laws coming about which nobody knows the source of, FA10 forms appear, then disappear, then appear again as an online version which raised numerous questions, and has serious security concerns. Promises of keeping paper FA10 forms available are broken and, as usual, there is no accountability.

Law enforcement officers also face mysterious changes in the interpretation of law, and many officers have been told to turn in or illegally sell equipment that they purchased to do their job. Once again, nobody knows where these new regulations are coming from, they just appear, and they need to be stopped.

Each summer we ask our members to step forward and help us defend these constant attacks on our civil rights.
