The System Isn’t Broken – This IS the System!!
Armed citizen helps take down would be killer.
On Monday, May 11, 2026, Massachusetts residents were once again the victims of a career criminal. Tyler Brown, previously convicted for shooting at police officers, was allowed to walk free after only three years in prison. Despite the touted gun laws in the Commonwealth this convicted violent felon acquired a firearm and went on a rampage on Memorial Drive in Cambridge. It was only due to the quick action of a lawfully armed citizen assisting a State Police officer that brought an end to it.
“This terrorist like attack was completely preventable. The attacker should have still been in prison,” said Jim Wallace, Executive Director of GOAL. “People would say that the system is broken, but I won’t say that any longer because this IS the system! We have all three branches of the Commonwealth’s government that pander to criminals, but look to punish average citizens in every way. This crime, and countless more like it, are the direct results of catastrophic policies by our government officials and somehow we have to hold them accountable.”
For decades the state government has done everything they could to discourage and even persecute members of the Second Amendment community. At the same time, they have continually aided the human criminal element putting us all in danger. This fall citizens have the opportunity to overturn Chapter 135 and clean house at the ballot box.
